ASOR Medal Guidelines

An institute is eligable to present one ASOR medal in a given year if a student enrolled in that institute has:

• presented a paper at an ASOR conference or chapter meeting,
• had a paper published in the ASOR Bulletin, APJORS or similar publication.

The Chapter Chair shall write to each eligable institute at the end of the calender year (or by March each year) notifying the institute of their eligability, and requesting them to advise the Chapter of the name of the recipient if an award is to be made.

The cost of the medal and engraving is to be borne by the Chapter. The format of the engraving is:

The manner of presentation of the award is to be decided by the individual Chapter and institute involved. The institute should be encouraged to award the medal at a graduation ceremony or similar public occasion.
